About Me
I'm Charlie Hough! I grew up in Pittsburgh and have been studying and working in Colorado for 5 years. In my free time I love to read, watch movies with friends, and spend time outdoors. In my work, I am an actor, writer, and director with a focus on naturalism in unnatural settings. My goal is to create scenarios where complex stories can be told in truthful ways that resonate with audiences and allow them to feel. By juxtaposing grounded performance and dialogue with fantastical settings and scenarios we can create a setting where creativity thrives.
I am currently taking a short hiatus from performing to work on two very exciting projects! The first was a production of "the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" presented by Sandbox Boulder- I directed the show with performances that ran from March 8-12. After that, I am keeping my director hat on with Annie Baker's "The Aliens," produced by New Hollywood productions in an immersive outdoor venue. Keep an eye here for performance dates!
